As a senior account executive at RW Jones Agency, Sam specializes in media relations. In her role, she advises faculty experts through media training and outreach. Her day-to-day work includes crafting pitches and op-eds; facilitating interviews between faculty members and reporters; and seeking out and fielding reactive opportunities from members of the national media. She also leads the team that produces The Lede Edition — the agency’s monthly media planner designed to inform clients’ media relations and social media strategy. 

Sam also brings a sharp eye for detail and organizational skills to her role as event director at RW Jones. She regularly oversees the planning and management of client and agency events by meeting and coordinating with clients; identifying event needs and objectives; managing budgets; scouting and securing venues; developing and maintaining relationships with vendors; and managing on-site logistics to ensure successful events. Sam has had the pleasure of planning The Presidents Dinner in partnership with Bucknell University each year since its inception in 2018.

A former intern, Sam first joined the agency in the summer of 2016 before joining full-time in the summer of 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Waynesburg University in public relations with a minor in journalism. 

Sam lives just south of Pittsburgh with her husband, Joe, and their two Labrador retrievers, Nelly and Molly. Outside of work, she can often be found baking, exercising and enjoying the outdoors by riding UTVs with family and friends.
