BIO
Jefferson Geiger is responsible for a variety of communications for RW Jones clients, from short press releases to magazine articles to leadership speeches. He also assists in media relations, edits copy for web and print, creates newsletters and more.
Jefferson joined RW Jones in 2023 and immediately began reporting and writing internal news stories for Wagner College and Whittier College. Additionally, his work has included speechwriting for the Cal Poly Pomona provost, compiling deliverables and content for the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education and managing the editorial calendar for the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
He previously was an award-winning journalist at the Summit Daily News in Frisco, Colorado, beginning as a copy editor in 2018 before departing as the arts and entertainment editor in December 2022.
During his tenure, Jefferson provided the ski town community with details on local happenings including festivals, live music and other events. He also served as a weekend editor and covered nonprofits in addition to the towns of Frisco and Dillon. As magazine editor, he put together multiple editions of Explore Summit, Summit County Home, Summit County Trail Guide and Best of Summit.
Jefferson kindled his passion for storytelling at Colorado State University in Fort Collins while earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He worked as a freelance video game journalist for Fanbyte and GameSpot after college, and then as a reporter and award-winning photographer for the Valley Courier in Alamosa, Colorado.
He loves science fiction and fantasy and often relaxes with reading, movies, board games and video games. He can also be found skiing, baking and mixing cocktails as well as exploring new breweries, distilleries and restaurants. Jefferson lives in Burbank, California, with his girlfriend, Elise, and their cat, Gus.
