BIO
As Vice President of Marketing Strategy, Ross Loehner provides strategic consultation to colleges and universities, helping them enhance brand awareness, recruitment, fundraising and reputation. By leveraging integrated marketing plans, full-funnel analysis and a focus on user experience, he delivers a unified vision for institutional marketing efforts.
With over 20 years in marketing and user experience—including 13 years dedicated to higher education—Ross has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing colleges and universities. His expertise spans competitive research, budget and resource analysis, goal and KPI setting, media planning, tactical implementation and performance measurement. Additionally, he brings hands-on knowledge in digital marketing disciplines such as social media, digital advertising, email communication, digital content, user experience design and web development.
Before joining RW Jones in 2025, Ross served as the AVP of Marketing and Digital at Chapman University, where he led teams focused on marketing strategy, digital marketing and web design/development. His commitment to the transformative power of higher education continues to drive his work.
Ross holds a BA in Communication with a focus on advertising and a Master’s in Leadership Development from Chapman University. His leadership philosophy—rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a belief that success depends on the people behind the effort—shapes every interaction.
Based in Orange County, California, Ross enjoys life with his loving wife, four chatty cats and one energetic dog. In his free time, he loves illustrating, reading fiction and spending time with his furry companions.
