Kelly Murphy (she/her) is an account manager at RW Jones Agency specializing in media relations, thought leadership, project management and crisis communication. Since joining the team in 2023, Kelly has helped clients create new workflows and processes that allow for effective communication across all higher education divisions. From presidential newsletters to pitching national media outlets, Kelly has helped clients grow and cultivate comprehensive public relations strategies. She is proficient at enhancing brand reputation, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and driving impactful messaging across various platforms.

Kelly joined RWJ after nearly a decade of serving as a media relations guru for two separate institutions in the Chicagoland area: Saint Xavier University and North Central College. Prior to making the jump into higher education, she worked for an NBC affiliate in Davenport, Iowa.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication with minor in journalism from Monmouth College and an MBA in digital marketing from Saint Xavier University.

Kelly and her partner, Jason, live in Illinois with Finley, their very spoiled and very large sheepadoodle. As a self-proclaimed “crazy dog lady” and lover of animals, Kelly spends her free time enjoying nature hikes with Jason and Finley or playing one of their many board games from their vast and growing library.
